The ContentGuard MPEG REL SDK 1.0 for Java™ allows you to quickly integrate MPEG REL into your applications through an easy to understand interface. The SDK also offers numerous customization options that allow you to fine tune your implementation of the MPEG REL. The MPEG REL SDK enables developers and businesses to focus in their area of expertise and interface with the MPEG REL at a high level. For example, a movie player that consumes an MPEG REL License and a protected video file must be capable of reading and understanding what the License allows the user to do. Using the MPEG REL SDK, the movie player can query the MPEG REL License through a high level API, such as “can I play the movie now”, instead of reading, parsing, validating, and interpreting all the elements contained in the License.

The SDK is being offered as a Public Beta and is available for general download.
